Who Is Appalachian:
Michael Budwash started Appalachian Woodworks in 2002. Having shadowed a master carpenter for almost ten years, he was able to learn the ins and outs of custom carpentry. Since starting Appalachian, Michael has turned mostly toward the cabinet side of the business, but still maintains a trim carpentry crew. He possesses a natural eye for design and detail. Michael has a strong interest in historical renovations and an appreciation for quality woodworking of all varities.

Heidi Budwash joined Appalachian in 2003 to help with the daunting task of paperwork, but soon turned towards the design side of the business. She graduated in 2008 from the NKBA Kitchen and Bath Design Program with Magna Cum Laude honors. Heidi enjoys forming relationships with clients and successfully meeting their design needs.
